Note
The following guide of flashing the FritzBox firmware requires Windows operating system!
Required tool
- ruKernelTool (
http://rukerneltool.rainerullrich.de)
- AVM recovery tool(
http://download.avm.de/fritz.box/fritzbox.7490/x_misc/english/)
Steps
1.
Start the
ruKernelTool
2.
Go to the "Upload" tab and click on "In Adam2 halten"
Note
The button is only active in "Experten-Modus", which can be activated in Einstellungen > Experte-Modus
3.
In the telnet terminal window execute the following:
quote SETENV firmware_version avme
quote REBOOT
Note
avm-> german firmware_version
avme-> international firmware_version
4.
Proceed with the AVM recovery tool to resotre/flash the firmware
