Speed up the boot process

In order to speed up the boot process one need to turn off unwanted services.

It can be done manually by deleting unwanted sysmlinks form the runlevel directory or with aid of either BUM or sysv-rc-conf. Both are application to handle the Debian's runlevel configuration. First is a GTK gui and the later a command line application.

Both are easy to use. Which will you go for, is your choice.

Now you just ought to find out which services you don't need. This link may be helpful: http://doc.gwos.org/index.php/Speed_up_boot
